Control Insulation Systems

John Elliot and Billy Turk founded PCIS in December 1999. John has
been involved in the cellulose industry for over 27 years, spending
the majority of his time focusing on developing, producing and selling
chemical formulas to be used in the production of cellulose insulation.
Billy also has an entrepreneurial background. After managing a cellulose
manufacturing facility in Cornelia, GA, Billy took his experience
into the field, founding a proto-type company to market and install
cellulose insulation in custom homes in NE Georgia.
Based
on their experience in the cellulose insulation and related chemical
industries, Billy and John saw a need for a product that combined
the benefits of the premier insulation material (cellulose) with
a borate-based pesticide to create a superior thermal envelope with
sound-deadening and pest control properties—a Thermal Acoustical
Pest Control Insulation. T•A•P achieved an EPA label
for many crawling insects, including termites, in 2000, and went
into production on March 21, 2001. A US patent was issued in 2003.
T•A•P is now registered in 47 states, and manufactured
in seven plants east of the Rockies.
At
PCIS, Billy handles all marketing and sales inquiries, while John’s
primary responsibility is in the technical and governmental fields.
